Short Desciption

This project bring together 6 Special Schools from EU all with a slightly different area of focus and expertise but all school are aware of the social isolation of their pupils. Our project aims to tackle this issue and enable our pupils to play a more productive and involved role in our European society. Our efforts aim to ensure we raise skill levels of these vulnerable students and have a direct and life long impact on the connectivity with society in general.

Every year, the second Tuesday of the month is a Safer Internet Day. The students participated in various activities to mark the day.

Fifth and sixth year students wrote website titles, that they visit most, in the WordArt tool.

Fifth year students played various games connected to internet security.

Sixth grade students made digital posters about personal data, and they watched an educational video about protecting personal data.

Students of 7th A class celebrated the Safer Internet Day by playing games about rules of conduct on the internet and by making posters about dangers of the internet and cyber bullying.

Eight grade students participated in a workshop about fake news where they tried to recognise a fake news article and at the end they had to create a fake news themselves. They played a Kahoot quiz about internet safety.

By the decision made by Croatian Parliament, the last Wednesday in February marks a Pink T-shirt Day, that day is declared to be the national day against peer violence. In our Centre, The Pink T-shirt Day was marked by wearing pink T-shirts to school on Wednesday 16th of February, by taking photographs in a pink T-shirt frame, holding workshops and doing various suiting activities. The workshops and activities were held by subject and class teachers between 14th and 18th of February since the students had the second part of their winter break from 21st till 25th of February.

This school year the masquerades fell on Tuesday, February 1st. The students were not in school. But they made a Wakelet collection about customs in Croatia.
